I'm using this method for an upcoming mod pack i am creating that will involve a couple of modified character from a mod pack from mario kart wii. Simply taking the corrupted file and using splicer import it into the bfres will make it so the corrupted file will become normal again and be usable in game. As you will see, your file is corrupted but i found out that the corruption that happens is actually a pattern. All you do is when you save the file in paint.net a window will pop up and in the window press on the arrow for formats and select dxt5 and then press save, use splicer to import the modified file into the the bfres then export the bfres again and go back to your edited file that just exported and view it. I have searched far and wide to find a fix but with no luck, but i have figured out how to fix this problem.
